The theme of our 2027 Called to Peace Ministries Women’s Retreat is Rooted and Grounded. It is based on Ephesians 3:17–19: “…that you, being rooted and grounded in love…” 

The trauma, betrayal, and loss from domestic abuse can leave us feeling uprooted and untethered, shaking our sense of identity, security, worth, and belonging, and making it difficult to find firm ground beneath our feet. Yet God offers something stronger than the shifting circumstances around us. 

God invites us to sink our roots deep into His love and build our lives upon the unshakable foundation of who He is. For women seeking healing after abuse, God provides the security, hope, and stability our hearts long for.

Throughout the retreat, we will explore what it means to be rooted in Christ, grounded in truth, and strengthened by God’s love, while discovering that healing happens in the context of a safe community. 

Paul’s prayer reminds us that we comprehend the vastness of Christ’s love with all the saints. Together, we experience God’s love and learn what it means to trust healthy relationships again. As we grow in understanding the height, depth, length, and breadth of Christ’s love for us, we can heal, flourish, and live from a place of confidence, security, and freedom.
